Jeeves’ Guide to Chocolate Moonshine Co.

Description

Good day, and welcome.

I’m Jeeves, your humble chocolate concierge here at Aggieland Flowers & Chocolates.

Today’s assignment has taken me away from the polished chocolate salons of Europe and directly into the fudge kitchen—where the copper pot is warm, the pecans are plentiful, and someone has been rather liberal with the chocolate.

Our destination is Chocolate Moonshine Co., purveyors of rich, creamy, small-batch fudge in flavors that make restraint seem rather unnecessary.

I have also been issued a denim apron.

Things have clearly become serious.

Shall we begin?

A Little Southern Mischief

There is something wonderfully uncomplicated about good fudge.

No tiny tasting fork is required. No lengthy discussion of proper technique. And one needn’t pretend that a piece the size of a postage stamp is entirely satisfying.

Chocolate Moonshine Co. embraces that spirit with old-fashioned, small-batch fudge made for people who believe a treat ought to feel like a treat.

Rich chocolate, creamy vanilla, buttery caramel, toasted nuts, swirls, layers and all manner of delicious combinations find their way into the fudge kitchen.

Jeeves’ translation?

This is not the moment to count crumbs.

Small Batches. Rather Large Temptation.

Part of the charm of small-batch fudge is its handmade character.

Each piece can have its own swirls, toppings and little imperfections—the sort of things that remind you this confection did not simply march off an assembly line looking exactly like its neighbor.

Some flavors are deeply chocolatey. Others lean toward caramel, nuts or creamy vanilla. And then there are those marvelous combinations that appear to have been created after someone in the kitchen said:

“What if we put that in there too?”

An admirable approach, within reason.

About the “Moonshine”

A word, perhaps, about the name.

One hears Chocolate Moonshine and naturally begins to wonder whether Jeeves has taken up questionable activities after dark.

I assure you, my position at Aggieland remains secure.

The company’s story began with Chris Warman Sr. perfecting recipes in his family’s basement during evenings under the moon. That after-hours passion grew into a business devoted to creamy fudge, imaginative flavors, and a generous helping of fun.

Some varieties include bourbon- or whiskey-inspired flavors, so do consult the individual product details when choosing your treat.

Although once the box is opened, secrecy becomes considerably more difficult.

The Proper Way to Enjoy Fudge

Fudge requires very little ceremony.

Cut a small piece—or what you consider a small piece—and allow it to come to room temperature if it has been kept cool. Then give the flavor and texture a moment before reaching for another.

For comparative purposes, naturally.

If several flavors are involved, I recommend cutting them into smaller pieces and creating your own tasting.

Chocolate first.

Then perhaps caramel.

Then something with pecans.

Then back to chocolate, because one must verify one’s original findings.

This is how research is conducted.

Made for Sharing… Theoretically

Moonshine Fudge makes a wonderful addition to flowers because it adds something immediately indulgent to the gift.

Birthday flowers and fudge?

Excellent.

Thank-you flowers and fudge?

Very thoughtful.

A romantic bouquet and fudge?

Now we’re thinking properly.

Or send the fudge simply because someone deserves a little surprise.

There is no rule stating that chocolate must wait for an occasion.

I checked.

Why We Chose Chocolate Moonshine Co.

At Aggieland Flowers & Chocolates, we love gifts with personality.

Some are elegant. Some are whimsical. Some are unexpected.

And some arrive in the form of a thick square of handmade fudge and make everyone in the room suddenly very interested in who sent the delivery.

Moonshine Fudge fits beautifully into our collection because it brings a completely different experience from our European chocolates.

It is warm, generous, nostalgic and just a little mischievous.

Rather like something you might discover cooling on the counter in an old-fashioned country kitchen—assuming you were fortunate enough to arrive at precisely the right moment.

Jeeves Recommends

For your first Moonshine adventure, I suggest selecting two or three different flavors rather than committing immediately to only one.

Choose something deeply chocolate.

Add something with caramel or nuts.

Then choose one flavor you normally wouldn’t pick.

That last one is important.

Chocolate adventures should contain at least a small element of risk.

And should you discover a favorite, you may confidently order more next time with the satisfaction of knowing that your research was thorough.

My only other recommendation?

If you intend to share it, make that decision before opening the package.

Experience suggests one’s generosity may diminish considerably afterward.

“A little fudge, a little mischief, and suddenly it’s a very good day indeed.”

Until our next chocolate adventure,

Substitution & Delivery Policy

PLEASE NOTE:

Although the actual bouquet may not precisely match the photo, its temperament will. Occasionally, substitutions of flowers or containers happen due to weather, seasonality and market conditions which may affect availability.

If this is the case with the gift you've selected, we will ensure that the style, theme and color scheme of your arrangement is preserved and will only substitute items of equal or higher value.
