Well, Martin… you bought the flowers at the grocery store while picking up beer. Mostly because you needed to get out of the house after making her mad. Sure, the “dirty” clothes you tossed on top of the clean ones weren’t that dirty—you’d only been working in the yard. And you didn’t think it was a big deal… even though she had asked you not to do that numerous times before.

Apparently, that day it was a very big deal to her.  

Now she’s standing there, one hand on her hip, staring silently at those grocery-store flowers. Not yelling. Not speaking. Just staring. You are suddenly aware that this silence is loud....as you sip your beer blissfully thinking you were out of danger. Well......
